With Stained Glass Lessons in London you will be able to build the foundations of a hobby that you can develop over time at your own pace, making enchanting objects either to give as a gift or to enhance your own home.
The lessons are individual or a maximum of 3 people, you will learn how to design a stained glass pattern, how to cut and grind glass, and solder the final piece using either lead or copper foil techniques. The classes are held in a relaxed environment and the price for the day includes lunch, teas and coffees.
My home studio is in Barnet, North London with nearby tube and over-land train stations.
Prices are given below:
All day adult classes 10am to 4.30pm – £90
Half day course 10am to 12.30pm – £45
Half day course 2pm to 4.30pm – £45
Children’s lessons (over 10yrs old half day only) – £25
Participants will need to wear warm, casual clothing with closed-in shoes and trousers to save splinters of glass dropping on bare legs and toes.
I supply safety glasses and thick gloves for when you need to handle glass sheets.
During a full-days lesson you would have the opportunity to make a mirror surround, a box, a sun catcher or a picture.
In a half day lesson I would teach glass cutting and grinding and some foiling. You would be able to make an A4 picture to hang at a window.
The only thing that participants would need to provide is an idea of what they would like to make, either from their own imagination or ideas from books or the internet.
To book a lesson please contact me by email or phone and I will look forward to setting a date with you.
